EPOXY RESIN

Epoxy resin is a versatile and widely used thermosetting polymer known for its exceptional adhesion, strength, and chemical resistance. Derived from the reaction between epichlorohydrin and bisphenol-A, epoxy resins are commonly employed in a myriad of applications due to their unique combination of properties.

Epoxy resins can achieve high transparency, allowing for the creation of aesthetically pleasing and glossy finishes. This property is particularly desirable in applications such as art, jewelry, and decorative coatings. Exhibits excellent water and moisture resistance, making it suitable for use in damp or submerged environments without compromising its structural integrity.

Functions and Characteristics

  1. Appearance: Calcium stearate is a fine, white powder, providing a visual cue to its purity and quality.
  2. Calcium Content: The calcium content is crucial for its performance as a stabilizer and lubricant. The precise percentages in premium, first-grade, and qualified categories indicate different quality levels.
  3. Free Acid (Stearic Acid) Content: The low free acid content (≤0.5%) ensures that the stearic acid, which is a component of calcium stearate, doesn’t contribute to acidity, maintaining stability in various applications.
  4. Heating Loss: The heating loss parameter represents the amount of moisture or other volatile substances present. Lower values (≤2.0% for premium grade) indicate better stability during processing.
  5. Melting Point: The melting point is crucial for applications like PVC stabilization. The range of 149~155°C for the premium grade ensures its effectiveness in high-temperature processes, offering stability and structural integrity.
  6. Fineness (through 0.075mm sieve): This parameter assesses the particle size distribution. Higher fineness percentages (e.g., ≥99.5% for premium grade) indicate that the majority of particles are fine, ensuring better dispersion and performance in various formulations.
  7. Versatility: Epoxy resin is highly versatile, adaptable to various formulations and applications, making it a go-to material in numerous industries.
  8. Adhesion: Exhibits exceptional adhesion properties, forming strong and durable bonds with different surfaces, including metals, ceramics, glass, wood, and plastics.
